Freelance Income & Traffic Report: September 2018

Freelance Income & Traffic Report: September 2018

If you follow me on social media you know I just got back from a two-week vacation to Bali & Hong Kong with my sister! It was amazing and such a great escape from life & work (for the most part). I did check emails & reply to some basically every week day, but I was able to delegate most other tasks to my assistant Haley and my interns. They were such a big part of me being able to take this much needed break and I am so proud of them!!

Since I’ve been back, I have been feeling so recharged (and jetlagged lol). I feel like my goals are clearer and I have more motivation to complete them.

ANYWAYS, that is why this month’s income report is a bit late.

BACK TO SEPTEMBER…

September kicked off with my first-ever trip to NWFW with my friend Monica! You can read all about what we did, how much it cost, and all pitching tips to get into shows here. It was quite the adventure and I had so much fun, but I’m not sure I’d go again lol.

I also held my first Bumble event in September!! It was basically a kick-off party for me to announce my position with Bumble, so I just invited a bunch of friends to Postinos for a happy hour with food & wine!

I was also interviewed for 3 awesome podcasts. I have them all linked below under “Big Wins”.

Lastly, I started with a new client who I’ll be working even more hands-on with starting November 1st. Excited to see what Q4 brings to my biz!

My Story

New here? Catch up with a little background on my journey to becoming a full-time freelancer here!

Why Do I Do Freelance Income Reports?

Starting in November, I started doing income reports basically because Melissa Griffyn does them and I look up to her in each and every way haha. I noticed I would ALWAYS read her income reports and they always fascinated me and motivated me to improve my business, sooo here we are.

I pride myself that I am a very transparent person, and I like to think my blog & business reflects that same feeling of trust. With these reports, I can show you guys what worked, what didn’t, and how I re-strategize from month to month. I hope these inspire you to better your own freelance or social media biz – and please let me know if you see areas where I can improve! lol

*I was really skeptical about sharing my income publicly. Would my clients think differently of me? Would they think I’m charging too little or too much? Would my friends judge me? I have chosen to not disclose or itemize my client income. I also don’t disclose if it is pre- or post-tax income. And you guys don’t know my life!! Everyone has different expenses.
